The Diploma in Sustainable Development and Community Management, offered by Escuela de Negocios Mineros, prepares professionals to lead sustainability and community engagement strategies within the mining industry. The program provides participants with the tools to address socio-environmental challenges, integrate ESG standards, strengthen the social license to operate, and design collaborative solutions that promote shared value, stakeholder participation, and territorial governance in complex environments.

Classes are held every other weekend: Fridays from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The Diploma in Sustainable Development and Community Management aims to prepare professionals and technical specialists in sustainability applied to mining and territorial contexts. Graduates will be capable of designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive strategies that strengthen relationships among companies, communities, and the environment.
The program is designed for professionals, technicians, and executives working in mining companies, consulting firms, public agencies, or institutions involved in environmental, social, or community management.
Applicants must hold a professional degree or academic qualification (minimum of 8 semesters), a higher-level technical degree (minimum of 4 semesters), and/or have at least two years of work experience related to the program.
Regarding the hours indicated in the curriculum for each module, half correspond to direct instruction with the lecturer, while the remaining hours are allocated to independent study. During this time, students are expected to complete activities and coursework outside scheduled class hours.
Graduates of the Diploma in Sustainable Development and Community Management are equipped to strengthen the social license to operate through the design and management of sustainability strategies in the mining sector, integrating ESG standards and responsible leadership within socio-environmental regulatory frameworks. They are also capable of addressing community engagement challenges through a territorial approach, promoting collaborative solutions and effective dialogue processes with communities and other stakeholders.
